About

What a journey it’s been to get here…

Hi, I’m Peter M. Ivey, and I’m thrilled you’ve joined me!

While attending college, I often escaped to the hills of Upstate South Carolina. It was there, in the silence and solitude, surrounded by beauty, that I began to hear God whisper my belovedness over me, planting a seed that has now blossomed into Four Seasons Soul Care.

Since those days on Bald Rock, it’s been a journey of learning to let go of cultural “shoulds,” gaining the courage to say No to spaces that aren’t meant for me, saying Yes to my true self, and trusting in the love of Jesus.

I founded Four Seasons Soul Care with the desire to accompany others on their unique version of this sacred journey. I find joy in creating space for others to slow down and listen for the voice of God, to take notice of what's stirring in one's heart, and to rest in the love of Christ.

I am a graduate of Furman University (BA Religion), Denver Seminary (MA Leadership), and the Soul Care Institute. Currently, I am a spiritual direction apprentice with Anam Cara.

Apart from offering soul care, I love trail running, getting my hands dirty in our garden, attending live concerts, and playing soccer. I also enjoy writing.

I am the author a poetry collection called After the Storm: Poems and Prayers, co-author of Solo: Creating Space with God, and co-creator of The State of My Soul reflective tool. I also share my poetry through Substack at This House of Longing.

I live in Asheville, NC, with my beautiful wife, Becca, and our three wonderful children.
