About

Hi, I’m Peter M. Ivey, and I’m so glad you’re here!

While attending college, I often escaped to the hills of Upstate South Carolina to clear my head and pray. It was there, in the silence, surrounded by the beauty of Creation, that I began to hear God whisper my belovedness over me.

Since those days on Bald Rock, it’s been a journey of learning to let go of cultural “shoulds,” gaining the courage to say yes to my true self, and trusting that Jesus’ love is enough for me.

After nearly a decade working in outdoor ministry, I founded Four Seasons Soul Care in 2025 with the desire to accompany others on their unique version of the sacred journey. I find joy in creating space for others to listen for the presence of God in their lives, to name and honor the desires of their heart, and to rest in the love of Christ.

I am a graduate of Furman University (BA Religion), Denver Seminary (MA Leadership), and the Soul Care Institute. I received my training as a spiritual director through Anam Cara Ministries.

I am the author of a poetry collection called After the Storm: Poems and Prayers, co-author of Solo: Creating Space with God, and co-creator of The State of My Soul reflective tool. I also share my poetry through Substack at This House of Longing.

In my free time, I enjoy trail running, getting my hands dirty in our flower garden, attending live concerts, and playing soccer.

I live in Asheville, NC, with my beautiful wife, Becca, and our three wonderful children.
